TOPIC: Hungry Valley trip may 25-28

Hungry Valley trip may 25-28 1 year 2 days ago #7642

Hi everyone, I'm planning to take a trip to hungry valley on may 25-28, and was wondering if anyone would be interested in heading down there for the weekend. So far It will be my p38 rover and a discovery 1 (both Sclr member trucks). I held an official event there last may and it went well. If I have enough interest I would consider turning it into an official event (sorry for the short notice... I just got my truck out of the shop yesterday...). Let me know if you would be interested in going.

Thanks,

-Ryan

Sounds good. Maybe we can get Amarveer and his defender to come too!

That makes 3 so far:

Me (1030; rover P38)
Eric (1075; Discovery 1)
Hovik

Trip leaders : 1030, and 1075 (Ryan Barbour and Eric Vodeb)

Friday may 25:
Meet up at the 4x4 practice track at hungry valley ohv. We will try to secure campsites next to the practice area (aliklik campground). Depending on site availability, we may relocate to another campground (it's memorial day weekend... The campgrounds are probably going to be packed, and you can't reserve spots). From there we will try the trails marked easy such as power line road. I also plan to set up camp, BBQ, and socialize hat day.

Saturday may 26:
Set out to take on the moderate trails, as long as all the vehicles did ok on the day 1 trips. Mess around at the 4x4 practice area (it has changed a lot since last may's trip).

Sunday may 27:
Attempt the Most difficult trails, or redo the most fun trails, depending on the trail conditions and how the trucks are holding up. Tear down camp for those who have to work on Monday.

Monday may 28th:
If you are still Around, we will have a BBQ, and tear down camp. Redo any favorite trails. Head home after a awesome memorial day weekend.

Please feel free to meet up during any day of the event and I would be happy to accept you into our convoy.

Remember to bring:
Tent/camping supplies
Firewood
Food and water.
Few changes of clothes

There are stores right outside of the park that you can pick up anything you forget, gas stations and a couple of fast food places too.

I may be able to make it on Saturday. Would you allow a friend's Jeep to attend?
Working on keeping it shiny side up!

I'm ok with your friends jeep attending, as long as it doesn't bother any of the other Sclr members attending. I would probably have him stage at the end of our convoy so it won't affect other members photos or videos of the event. I think that it will work out ok though. If anyone objects to the jeep following us please let me know.
Thanks,
-Ryan.
