Google maps tells me it's only about 200 miles if I go up 15 to 395 then west on 178. It's a few miles further if I take 5 to 178. I would consider joining the caravan if schedules allow. Otherwise I'll book it up 395 and meet you there.

What is the lodging situation? Where is the house at? I'd like to find a campground or hotel as close as possible.

Last weekend of October works for me.

Bring the extra amigo then as opposed to doing the mail thing...

We'll just have to define a good am missing spot in kernville. (Park probably? Or near the grocery / gas stations there)

35.755938, -118.428532 are the coords for the house. There's lots of both forestry and private campground north of town on the river as well as lots of lodges and other river "resorts"

For you and anyone out that in the neck of the woods, the 15/395/178 route would be best, no need to drive further and waste more gas if you dont need to..

Here are the GPS tracks for the two routes we will be taking. I put them together using the way points from the Wells sheets for the trips.

Just registered for the trip. I'm planning on bringing plenty of BS, tall tales, strong opinions and wise crack remarks. Is there anything else I should bring?

Appears to be many campgrounds just up County Rd 521/Sierra Way from the house coordinates.....maybe we can all pick one site to stay for those not lodging it?
