I have been on Rowher Flats Trail with SCLR a couple of times now, along with Frank B for his "annual" Perseids Meteor Shower's night run. It's a fun trail, mostly sandy and a bit rocky in places, with a few steep and off camber sections but definitely doable by any stock Land Rover, even on street tires as long as you pay attention of where you place your wheels (Frank had a small mishap there last year on the way down, although at night things definitely get a bit more complicated.)
There is a nice plateau at the summit where you can have lunch - that's where we normally stop for the meteor show on the night run - and the whole trail can be completed in 3-4 hours at a very leisurely pace. There are fantastic vies of Bouquet Reservoir, mountains and canyons all around during the ascent from Bouquet Canyon. The descent must be beautiful, but it's always been pitch black when I've gone down on that side, so I am not sure.

It would be ideal for a day run that's close enough for just about anyone to get to. Not sure if there are offshoots from the main trail on the way back down, I have only followed the leader on the main trail.
In short, I think both the theme and the trail are a great idea Keanan. I am a "youngster" I guess (Range Rover Sport), but I just may join you for that run as well.
