TOPIC: Im new to the area, Maybe Hungry Valley?

Re: Im new to the area, Maybe Hungry Valley? 8 months 4 weeks ago #7968

Hey Garrett! i take that back,, you are right! I did more research Rowher Flats are only 25 mins from my house, are they easy trails/fire roads? can you describe it a little, hav in mind that this would be a test of reliability for my RRC, 9 even though I drove it from San Luis Obispo where I bought it (no problems at all), and the second one was to watch the Perseid Metheor shower in Mt Wilson off Hwy 2, thanks in advance for the info

I am located in La Crescenta so I knew it was pretty close to you. The trails range from easy to difficult here is a map.

Rowher Flats is a cool place but it has some pretty steep hill climbs. There are also some mellow fire roads. They have a "4x4 Practice Area" which is just a pile of boulders with weeds growing all around. Still Rowher would be a cool place to go mess around for a few hours.
Hungry Valley has a great practice area. I would like to go back sometime soon.

If you are thinking of going on exploring on Sunday Rowher & Hungry Valley are a little far for me. I might be able to run Cleghorn road with you. It's about 60 miles east of you near I15/Cajon Pass. Let me know if you are interested.

Hello Keanan , i am still deciding where to go, I think going with you is a good possibility, theoretically , where and when would you like to meet, I have to coordinate with my wife, we were thinking of something closer, but it may be a chance to go to Cleghorn, I work tomorrow and off sunday and Monday, how difficult is that run? i am new to my RRC, still dont know how reliable is, let me know

Thanks
