Since this is the season of Bowls I figured it would be good to have an SCLR Bowl.

Announcing the 2012 SCLR SNOWBOWL!

We will meet at 9:30 in Downtown Fawnskin. The plan is to head out wheeling for the day. The trail depends on how much snow there is. If there isn't much snow, 0-6", we will probably take Gold Mountain, If there is more snow, 6-12" we will run White Mountain or something else in the area. It depends on what the group wants and is capable of doing and it depends on the conditions.

I don't own a football but if someone wants to bring one we might be able to convince everyone to play for a bit.
If there is going to be snow be sure to bring your sleds.

This is what you need to know:
January 28 9:30am Downtown Fawnskin California.
What to bring:
Full Tank of fuel
Food
Clothing appropriate for the weather
Fluids and parts for your vehicle

Be prepared for nearly anything.

Alright folks, the trip is coming up in a couple of days here. I was hoping for more snow but it looks like we might only find a few patches of snow. Either way it will still be cool.

The meeting location has changed. we will meet at Vons Grocery - 42170 Big Bear Blvd, Big Bear Lake, CA 92315

We will take Jacoby Canyon trail (3N61) then follow 3N03 to Heartbreak Ridge 2N61Y.
Jacoby canyon is rated as a moderate trail, 3N03 is easy and Heartbreak Ridge is rated difficult.

I will contact those that have signed up for the trip and make sure we all know where to meet.

gah.. sounds like fun, even if I did have the rover together by then, which is highly unlikely, id have to pass due to some cub scout hike or something or other i have to go to with the boy.. Cleaning crusty carbon baked valves is the bane of my existence as of late..

Go to NAPA and get some Ozzy Juice. It's these little organisms that eat oil and grease. It works really well for cleaning things. Soak the valves overnight and they will clean off pretty easily.
