Heart Bar Campground
DescriptionAt Hwy 38 & Forest Road #1N02 is a huge, pine forested valley, right next to San Gorgonio Wilderness. Heartbar Campground, Heart Bar Horse Camps, RV Dispersed Sites. Highway 38 - SE of Big Bear Lake; Hiking & Equestrian Trails with ridges of 10,000′ elevation. Click on link to view in map GPS 34°09'35''N 116°47'09''W. This valley is a developed recreation area w/ 94 camp sites, plus big equestrian area. Picnic, hiking, mountain biking, horseback trails, plenty RV spots, even a creek. (Oooops I meant the Santa Ana River) Highway 38 is kinda the long way into Big Bear Lake, up thru Angelus Oaks.
Camp Rules Animals - Pets, other than seeing eye dogs, must be createdm caged or on a lease no longer than 6 feet or otherwise under physical restrictive control. Be aware that coyotes have been known to attack unattended pets. Please do not feed squirels or other animals that can carry plague. Disturbing the peace - Please do not disturb others. Campers who engage in fighting, nudity, threatening or abusive behavior, language or unreasonable noise will be told to leave. Unreasonable noise includes the operation of radios, Tvs, musical instruments, public address systems, generators, motors or enigines in such a manner or at such a time as to disturb others. QUIET TIME in the campgrounds is from 10PM to 6AM. Please refrain from playing radios or making any other noise during these hours. Please remember that many people come to enjoy peace and the solitude of nature during the daytime as well. Unreasonable noise must be avoided at all times and will not be tolerated. Firearms - Please be aware that it is unlawful to display or discharge a firearm or any other implement capable of taking human life, causing injury or damaging property ( this includes bows and arrows, pellet guns, bb guns and slingshots) anywhere in the campground area at any time. shooting presents too great of a risk for the unwary hiker or small child. LEAVE IT AT HOME. A full copy of the rules and regulations can be found on the back of the map upon check in.
