I plan to take a spin to Laguna Hansen. A beautiful lake up in the Sierra Jaurez mountains. When you think of Baja, it's usually cactus and rock. This is different with lots of pines and granite. Probably one of the most picturesque places in Northern Baja. Remember, we come back to the hot springs to soak away the road grime.

We will pack up and drive south of the Canyon over the mountain range to Hwy 3 near Hero's De La Independencia (those who cannot take Monday off can head home from there). Through Valle de Trinidad and turn off to the Score Baja 1000 Race route up to Mike's Sky Rancho.
Here you can camp along the river or take a room. Rooms include Rancho style diner and breakfast at about $50. Camping about $15.

Work our way over the mountains to Hwy 1 near Colonet and up the gorgeous coastline to the border at Tijuana.
