Saturday July 2, 2005 1. Meet @ 8:30 AM @ Mammoth Shell station at SW Corner of Main Street and Old Mammoth Road as you come into town. Chuck Grobe will lead an easy trip from here to Laurel Lakers or another place. Those who want to go on a hard trip will go to the Shell station in Bishop as set forth in paragraph 2, below. 2. For the hard trip, meet @ 9:30 AM @ the Bishop Shell Station on Highway 395 at Highway 6 on the North side of Bishop, to rendezvous with George Johnston of the Mammoth 4 Wheelers who will be our trip leader for a somewhat hard trip to Black Canyon. 3. Meet at 7 PM at Chuck Grobešs house 298 Forest Trail for a Pizza fest. Pizza, Salad, beer and soft Drinks will be provided at a cost to be split up. Sunday July 3, 2005 1. At 8:30 AM those who donšt want to watch or participate with the Mammoth 4 Wheelers in the 4th of July parade meet at the Mammoth Shell Station and convoy to the Chevron gas station in BIG PINE for a 9:30 meeting with George Johnston. He will lead us on an easy all day trip into Nevada to the mostly abandoned mining ghost town of Gold Point, on the northeast side of Death Valley. 2. Those who want to participate in the parade meet the Mammoth 4 Wheelers @9:30 at the Mammoth Post Office to get the vehicles ready for the parade. 3. The Parade will start @ 11 AM and last until 2 or 3 PM. At 3 PM Kat Watkins of the Mammoth 4 Wheelers will lead an easy several hours ride. 4. For dinner we will either go to Toms Place between 4 and 5 PM for a Barbeque of ribs, chicken, salad, soft drinks and beer at $9 per person, or we will organize a bring your own barbeque at an outdoor locale between Mammoth and Crowley. More info on these activities at the rides. 5. At about 8 PM there will be fireworks at Crowley Lake with viewing on the road just west of 395, North of Crowley.
