Planning Overview
All Land Rovers are invited. National Forest Adventure Pass is required for parked vehicles. You can pick this up at most sporting goods stores and it doesn’t have to be activated until you show it. Massey and Wilson give this trail a Difficulty Rating of 4 and a Scenic Rating of 8. We’ll run the trail from West to East. The interesting section is the first couple of miles uphill, with the balance being just a dirt trail. If everyone’s game, we may run it bottom to top, find a lunch spot, and then run it back down the way we came in rather than just driving for an hour on the dirt road. It’s easier to get down than up, but it still presents some very interesting challenges.
