Oceano Dunes is a 3,600 acre off road area unique to California State Parks. The 5 1/2 miles of beach and 1,500 acres of dunes attract Land Rovers from all over who are thirsty for sand.

Activities will include: Techniques of sand driving, followed by Dune'n it; Recovery Challenge; Second annual Tiger Woods Sand Spectacular; Remote control dune buggy Time Trial; and a "Mountains of the Moon" GPS Challenge.

DIRECTIONS
1. Located 90 min. north of Santa Barbara off Hwy 1.
2. Take 101 north to Arroyo Grande.
3. Exit Grand turn left (West) 2.7 mi.
4. Pacific, turn left (South) 1 mi.
5. Pier, turn right (West) .4 mi.
6. Oceano State Park. Camping fee: Last year it was $6.00, but I believe it was raised this year to $10.00. Get free Map at Park entrance.

CAMPSITE DIRECTIONS
1. Go to SAND HIGHWAY. (ON MAP) ASK!
2. Air down to 15 lbs.
3. Follow Sand Highway markers.
4. Follow SCLR signs to camp site, Sycamore Camp. (It will be very obvious)

Bring food and 2 gal. of water per person per day and a sense of adventure!

Saturday evening we will have fish and chips at the park entrance. Camping is excellent with clean toilets and good company.

This is not your average Trail Ride.
