One Day Only!
John Bull Trail-Big Bear Lake-San Bernardino Mountains
This trip is rated EXTREME not for stock Land Rovers. Your vehicle MAY suffer body panel and/or under carriage damage. Now with that said, my sonıs stock 1988 Range Rover with no lift kit or sliders completed this course with no problems. Stock Discoveryıs have also completed this course in the past. If possible, please remove any air dams prior to the trip date. We will go as slow as necessary to get all trucks through with the least amount of damage.
I will be providing a Carne Asada BBQ at my home after the trip with nice cold beer. When you RSVP, please let me know the approximate amount of guests you will have. I will be ordering the meat the day before. I want to insure I have enough for everyone. The address to my home will be provided on the trail. I am in North Fontana at the 210 and 15 freeways. It should be close to everyone for their trip home
The Big Bear Discovery Center, at 8:00 am
The Discovery Center is located on the North Side of Big Bear Lake. Located on North Shore Drive (Highway 38) between Fawnskin and Stanfield Cutoff. When you get to the dam, from Hwy 18 go north and follow the road around to the north side of the lake. This will be Highway 38. The Discovery Center is well marked and has a large parking lot to stage us.
From the Big Bear Discovery Center we will head east towards the old Holcomb Valley Mine. This is the starting point of Little John Bull. We can use this area to air down and get ready for rock crawling. This will be the first trail leading to John Bull.
